
Chuan Wu is a professor at Beijing Institute of Technology (BIT), where his research interests are energy storage and conversion materials and devices, including new energy materials, as well as monovalent and multivalent intercalation secondary batteries, such as lithium ion batteries, metal lithium batteries, sodium ion batteries, aluminum ion batteries, etc. Dr. Wu received his Ph.D. degree in Applied Chemistry from BIT in 2002, where he was focusing on electrode materials for power lithium ion batteries; then followed by a 2-year postdoctoral fellowship in Dalian Institute of Chemical Physics, Chinese Academy of Sciences, where he was focusing on high-performance catalysts for PEM fuel cells and hydrogen generation. Dr. Wu was awarded Beijing Outstanding Talents Cultivation Project in 2007, first prize of science and technology progress of China Nonferrous Metal Industry Association in 2008, Beijing Nova Program Award in 2009, and New Century Excellent Talents in University in 2012.
