
Yujie Xiong is a Professor of Chemistry at the University of Science and Technology of China (USTC) and PI of the Hefei National Laboratory for Physical Sciences at the Microscale. He received a B.S. degree in chemical physics (Special Class for the Gifted Young) in 2000, and a Ph.D. degree in inorganic chemistry in 2004, both from the University of Science and Technology of China. Prior to joining the USTC faculty in 2011, he was the Principal Scientist of the National Nanotechnology Infrastructure Network (NSF-NNIN) site at Washington University in St. Louis. His research is focused on the design of catalytic materials at atomic precision for solar-driven chemical transformations. He has published more than 160 papers in prestigious journals such as Science with over 16,000 citations (H-index 61). Prof. Xiong is the recipient of National Science Fund for Distinguished Young Scholars by the National Natural Science Foundation of China in 2017.
