
Dr. Liangti Qu graduated from Tsinghua University (Beijing, China) with a PhD degree in Chemistry in 2004. After he worked in University of Dayton in Ohio, USA as a research staff for 5 years, he joined Beijing Institute of Technology (BIT) in 2009 and became a leader of nanocarbon research group. Dr. Qu’s research mainly focuses on the synthesis, functionalization, and application of conjugated carbon-carbon nanostructures including conducting polymers, carbon nanotubes and graphenes. He has published more than 200 peer-reviewed research papers in prestigious journals such as Science, Angew. Chem. Int. Ed., Adv. Mater., J. Am. Chem. Soc., Nano Lett., and so on. Awards and honors include New Century Excellent Talents in University (2009), Excellent Young Teachers in Universities by Fok Ying Tong Education Foundation (2012), National Science Fund for Distinguished Young Scholars (2013), and Chang Jiang Scholar of Ministry of Education, China (2014).
