
Prof. Linjie Zhi received his PhD in 2000 at the Institute of Coal Chemistry, Chinese Academy of Sciences. He then worked in the Institute of Chemistry, Chinese Academy of Sciences, for two years as a postdoc. Since January 2003 he had worked with Prof. Klaus Müllen at the Max-Planck Institute for Polymer Research for two years before assuming the position of project leader until the end of 2007. After that, he was appointed a full professor in the National Center for Nanoscience and Technology, and moved back to China in early 2008. His research interests focus on graphene-based carbon-rich nanomaterials and their application in energy-related areas. He has published over 200 papers in high quality journals, and attracted a total citation of over 18000 times.
